Elbow Song Featured in Coen Brothers New Burn After Reading Trailer

Written by Andrew Boni on Friday, September 12th, 20081 Comment

In the trailer for the new Coen brothers dark-comedy, Burn After Reading, the song Grounds for Divorce by Elbow BandElbow is wholeheartedly featured throughout. When I first saw the Burn After Reading trailer, this track stuck in my head immediately. There’s no denying that it’s a great, catchy song. That’s presumably the reason why the Coen brothers decided to go with this song in the first place. As for Elbow, in case you didn’t know, they’ve been playing together for over 18 years. An interesting fact about these guys is how they were named from dialogue in the BBC TV show The Singing Detective. In that show, the characters said that “elbow” was the most sensual word in the English language, not because of its definition, but because of how it feels to say it. Right. Check out sweet the music video.
