Arcade-Fire-Grammys_620x350

Canadian indie-rock band Arcade Fire won big at the Grammys last night, receiving the award for Album of the Year, beating out favorites Lady GaGa and Eminem. The famously large group first performed “Month of May” followed by “Ready to Start,” both of which are off of The Suburbs.

“Ready to Start” is my favorite song on the album, and this performance definitely doesn’t let me down.

phantogram band

Electro duo Phantogram just made their TV debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. They played “Mouthful of Diamonds” which is a cut off of their sleeper-hit debut album Eyelid Movies. The Roots’ ?uestlove stepped in and played drums for the two. I’d say that Eyelid Movies is easily one of my top 5 favorite albums of 2010.

the-national1

Check out The National on The Late Show with David Letterman. Somewhat surprisingly, they performed “Conversation 16″ which I’d say is one of the lesser known tracks off of their critically acclaimed album High Violet.

It’s cool to see the Arcade Fire’s Richard Parry perform along with them. You can see him in the back with long, red hair.

helplessness_blues-fleet-foxes
Yes… some new Fleet Foxes has made its way onto the internet. The song is titled “Helplessness Blues” and it gives us a fresh dose of that classic Fleet Foxes sound. It’s a cut off of their upcoming second album of the same name.

wait-what
Listen to this new track from mashup artist Wait What. It’s got Willow Smith’s breakout hit “Whip My Hair” pitted against dubstep musician Skrillex’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites.” Pretty sick mix if you ask me.

matt-and-kim
Indie rock duo Matt & Kim released the official music video for their song “Cameras” and it features them beating the crap out of each other. “Cameras” is the first single off of their latest album Sidewalks.

coachella-2011-lineup

The official lineup for the 2011 Coachella Music Festival has finally been released. There was much speculation leading up to today as to who would be playing at the Indio, California-based festival, but that’s all been put to rest now. Most of the artists that had big years in 2010 are featured on the lineup, including Kanye, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, Crystal Castles, Sleigh Bells, Broken Social Scene, Wiz Khalifa & The National. Noticeably absent however: Daft Punk. You’d think that all the speculation about an upcoming Daft Punk tour, Coachella would be the perfect place to start it off.

Also, a Death from Above 1979 reunion?! Awesome.
