Here’s a track that didn’t make it onto the final version of Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. “Eyes Closed” has a sound that makes me think it was destined for 808s and Heartbreak rather than Kanye’s latest album. Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa have been working on a movie together these last few months. Yeah, that’s right, a movie. So, it’s only natural that they collaborate on the official soundtrack as well. They’ve released the first single “That Good” off of their upcoming movie soundtrack, which is untitled at this time.
Snoop and Wiz are no strangers to each other; Snoop collaborated on Wiz’s breakout hit “Black & Yellow,” released in late 2010. On “That Good,” the two rap about their favorite pastimes, smoking trees. Snoop coins themselves “the new Cheech and Chong.” [read more…]
Love this song “Sunlight” by Australian house duo Bag Raiders. The song came out a few months back on Australian radio and has been steadily gaining popularity here in the states. Bag Raiders are mainly famous for their remixes, but have also come out with some killer songs of their own like “Shooting Stars,” “Way Back Home,” and of course “Sunlight.”
The music video chronicles a love affair between a zoo employee (who could pass for Scarlett Johansson) and a chimpanzee. It’s cute, but a little strange nonetheless.
Kanye West and Jay-Z have been working on an album together over the last few months. The album, Watch the Throne, was originally set to be released back in the summer. After some delay, we now know that it’s going to drop next week, according to Kayne himself. He made the admission during his New Years celebration with Jay-Z and Rihanna.
