I think by now, most of us realize who is for the war in Iraq, and who is against it. But for those who do not, here is a visual clue. This dazzling (and somewhat bizzare) anti-war mural was spotted in Berkeley, California. Stenciled on the bottom of the wall is a collection of American skylines, from New York to San Fransico. Credits to New River Head.

    Stunning Mural? You’re kidding, right?

How pathetic and boring the, er, anti-establishment art community has become, and stencilled to boot!

It’s possible GW has turned your creative little brains into roiling mush, but more likely that keeping up the “evil hegemonic USA” lie has simply self-imposed an ideological rut from which you can’t lift yourselves.

Keep it nive? Keep it clean? Well, we wouldn’t want to offend those who themsleves refuse to exend these courtesies, now would we?

Next time, try using crayons on the walls; they’re better suited to the subject matter and level of creative intellect on display.

I used ’stunning’ in the sense that the McCain/Palin stencil graffiti is quite elaborate and visually appealing. Whether or not you agree with the underlying political message is irrelevant. Simply put, it’s a great work of street art. If you are trying to imply that creating something like this is child’s play, then feel free to contact us and submit your own artwork.

    JohnDocker…

    What a d*ck you are.

I will assume you are a McCain supported by your pathetic response.

I take great pleasure in the knowledge that everyone who reads your comment will assume you to be a complete and utter c*ck.

You, my good man, fail at life.

How pathetic! All I can say is at least it’s in Berkley and not “trashing” the buildings in my state. What a disgrace to even consider this art…..street art or anything else. One more reason I have absolutely no desire to vacation in California. Keep your street art and your political views. Pretty testy for a city within range of N. Korea. Let’s see how adverse you are to war when you get that first hit.

I agree with John Docker, it is kinda dull and the “underlying political message” isn’t amazing or shocking. Like tell me something I don’t know or at least provide a clever metaphor in a more visually pleasing manner. To JT, not quite sure why you believe John is a McCain supporter. Its this type of fear and hatred of out-groups that scares me. Usually you see this from McCain supporters attacking Obama supporters, however, hate is never limited. ncvoter…lol

John W. Docker after reading your comment i came to the conclusion that you are a very ignorant person. i would love to see you attempt and of course fail at creating a piece of art as good as this one.peace.

    John W. Docker,

While I was in a convenience store earlier today I personally wittnessed a woman who was unhappy about the election results. Obviously because she picked up our local newspaper, ran up to the clerk stating “This World Has Come To A F***ing End!” and stormed out. To be quite honest you fall within the same category as the outrageous c*nt I saw earlier. People don’t realize that given the results of last night we still have yet to see what actually happens as everything is currently speculation.

Now to bust you on your comment here, the whole aspect of this article was to point out the artistic values of this mural, not to bash McCain and Palin. People like you who jump to conclusions make me sick to my stomach and I personally wish that the filth like yourself would just go away. Being an arrogant (wanna-be intellectual) you have to go onto a forum and post rants regarding your political views. The point of this post was not of that. So now you should go continue failing at life and let us artists continue to contribute our works of art to the community.

Palin’s a good looking woman, but I think looks alone aren’t really enough to qualify you as the leader of the free world. An a non-american, I’m glad that the republicans got beat, I have no real issue with McCain, but god forbid something should happen to him and Palin ends up the most powerful person on the planet!

What do you think?
