This week in Mixtape Mondays, we have Church League Champions from Pac Div (aka Pacific Division). If you’re not familiar, Pac Div is a three-man rap group out of Southern California. They’re somewhat new to the rap scene, having released their first mixtape Sealed for Freshness back in 2006. The success of Sealed for Freshness caused major players in the hip-hop world to take notice, including Pharrell, The Roots, and Snoop Dogg. Consequently, they amassed a large internet following.
Church League Champions is brings a uniquely 90′s rap sound to the table. The beats are pretty simple and the lyrics are out of control. Listen to tracks like “Pac Div” or “Mayor” to see what I mean.
