Electro duo Phantogram just made their TV debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. They played “Mouthful of Diamonds” which is a cut off of their sleeper-hit debut album Eyelid Movies. The Roots’ ?uestlove stepped in and played drums for the two. I’d say that Eyelid Movies is easily one of my top 5 favorite albums of 2010.
Crystal Castles & Robert Smith - "Not in Love" Music Video
Here’s the official video for “Not in Love” by Crystal Castles and The Cure’s Robert Smith. Awesome to hear Smith and Alice Glass together in one song. This version of “Not in Love” is 10x better than the official album version.
Chromeo feat. La Roux's Elly Jackson - "Hot Mess" (Duck Sauce Remix)
Here’s a remix of electro duo Chromeo’s latest single “Hot Mess” featuring Elly Jackson (of La Roux fame). The remix was done by Duck Sauce, which is the moniker used by mega-DJs Armand van Helden and A-Trak.
Chromeo is set to start their North American tour later this month, along with MNDR and The Suzan. Be sure to check them out if you can!
Bag Raiders "Sunlight" Music Video
Love this song “Sunlight” by Australian house duo Bag Raiders. The song came out a few months back on Australian radio and has been steadily gaining popularity here in the states. Bag Raiders are mainly famous for their remixes, but have also come out with some killer songs of their own like “Shooting Stars,” “Way Back Home,” and of course “Sunlight.”
The music video chronicles a love affair between a zoo employee (who could pass for Scarlett Johansson) and a chimpanzee. It’s cute, but a little strange nonetheless.

M.I.A.'s Vicki Leekx Mixtape

M.I.A. just dropped her latest mixtape, Vicki Leekx, as a free download on her site. Being the political person she is, M.I.A. chose the name Vicki Leekx due to the fact that it’s a play on the whistle-blower website WikiLeaks that’s been in the news recently.
The mixtape is definitely reminiscent of her most recent studio album Maya, which means that I’m a little disappointed. There’s a noticeable lack of catchy beats or lyrics; the whole thing just sounds rather flat, which is definitely surprising. You’d think that with fellow producers Diplo, Switch, Rusko & Blaqstarr helping out on the mixtape, the result would be nothing short of amazing. Check it out and decide for yourself.
