The Black Keys were the musical guest this past weekend on SNL, and performed two of the best songs from their critically acclaimed album Brothers. They first performed “Howlin’ for You” and later “Tighten Up.” Dan Auerbach looked noticeably different sporting a clean-shaven face in lieu of his usual Grizzly Adams-style beard.

The blues-rock duo totally killed it in their first ever Saturday Night Live performance. This is kind of the cherry on top of what has been an amazing year for them; Brothers has been included on myriad Best of 2010 lists and has even been nominated for Best Alternative Album at the Grammys.

They hand pick tracks off of their latest album High Violet as well as goodies from older stuff. Digging a little deeper, Berninger and Dessner also rotate some music that influenced their slowly but surely rise to indie rock fame.
