British phenom M.I.A. (birthname Mathangi Arulpragasam) is back in the spotlight once again. This time her hit track “Paper Planes” from the album _Kala _has been featured in the trailer for the highly anticipated movie Pineapple Express.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, M.I.A. is a singer, record producer, songwriter, and visual artist from London. She is of Sri Lankan descent. Her style consists mainly of experimental sounds with bold, jarring, and ambient noises amalgamated into a song.
