A fresh, new mixtape from everyone’s favorite actor/comedian/rapper Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino just hit the internet and boy is it good. “Royalty” features a whole host of guest appearances from people like Beck, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Bun B, Ghostface and Danny Brown. It’s the same Childish Gambino that we all know and love, but back with a harder, edgier, more raw sound and flow.
Our favorite mashup duo is back with their latest mixtape, cleverly titled The Mixtape Volume Five. On it we’ve got Toro y Moi vs. Cali Swag District, Usher vs. Sleigh Bells & The xx vs. DMX. They’re currently on a North American tour, so check them out while you can.
Check out the mixtape kills released by the Swedish duo jj. Comprised of Elin Kastlander and Joakim Benon, jj has a penchant for making electronic covers of popular rap and hip-hop songs. Their unique style caught the attention of Pitchfork, which gave their debut album an 8.6. They’ve even toured with The xx, back in March and April of this year.
Check out the latest mixtape from my favorite mash-up duo, The Hood Internet. For Trillwave, ABX and STV SLV (who make up The Hood Internet) teamed up with clothier Mishka and made one hell of a summer mixtape. _Trillwave _is a laid-back, mellow experience perfect for your late-night afterparty/kickback.
