Check out some of the latest jams from British producer Gold Panda. His lo-fi, beat-driven electronic sound can most appropriately be described as hypnotizing. If you’re a fan of Washed Out or Toro y Moi, you should definitely give Gold Panda a listen. His stuff has received critical acclaim from such publications as Pitchfork, Dazed and Confused, The Guardian & NME, among others. Be sure to grab his debut album, Lucky Shiner, which is set to be released in on CD and vinyl mid-October.

The Hood Internet and Mishka Present Trillwave

The Hood Internet Trillwave

Check out the latest mixtape from my favorite mash-up duo, The Hood Internet. For Trillwave, ABX and STV SLV (who make up The Hood Internet) teamed up with clothier Mishka and made one hell of a summer mixtape. _Trillwave _is a laid-back, mellow experience perfect for your late-night afterparty/kickback. Listen to Birdman & Lil’ Wayne spit it over Washed Out, Lloyd Banks lay it down over Neon Indian, or the Young Money crew go hard to Javelin.

Washed Out's "Feel It All Around" Unofficial Music Video

Washed Out Feel It All Around

Okay, so maybe this isn’t exactly a music video per se — it’s more like a montage of some exotic vacation that just so happens to be synced up to Washed Out‘s sleeper hit jam “Feel It All Around.” The high-def video was created by filmmaker Chase Heavener, who just so happens to own an amazing camera (Seriously, the video looks amazing). The euphoric, chill song and happy, leisurely vacation footage go extremely nicely together.

Washed Out’s latest album Life of Leisure sounds like it could have been put together by a 5 person band. The truth is, though, that Washed Out is just the alias of Georgia native Ernest Greene. His sound can best be described as lo-fi, hazy electro-pop while his vocals are rhythmically intoxicating.

…[Greene’s] music is exquisite almost beyond belief, but it’s got a bleached/blanched-out quality, like a photograph that’s lost its lustre, or a slowly fading memory-tape of classic 60s and 70s (and some 80s, such as Tango In The Night-era F Mac) pop.
